- grew up in a small town in eastern Ontario, Canada
- played and refereed both hockey and soccer while growing up
- went to Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario where I studied Computer Science
- moved to Taiwan after graduating to be an ESL teacher, have been there since June, 2000
- started cycling in 2006
- married and father -- currently with one child, with the second on the way
- hobbies: reading, cycling, writing
